- Go to And in the US: The Pentagon’s Beetle Borgs…
I hope they make them insect-spray proof too - although I think I'd run a mile in the opposite direction if a moth that size came anywhere in sight...

I'm guessing they will also find a way to extend the life of the insects.

It's the house flies that concern me. I've got my swatters ready--one in each room. I don't want them spreading my secrets to the rest of the world.

If this is true, it is quite amazing.
I can't wonder about the life expectancy of some of the insects being used. Seems their missions would have to be extremely short ones. (grin)

How can they overlook the incredible roach?! I mean, aren't they the ones that can even survive radioactive exposure? And, OMG, the possibilities with the ant! A trained spider!!! This is soooo exciting....no more worries about POW's....oh, wait! The lefties and ACLU will probably rise up and oppose all of it....they are life forms after all......and what about the actor's union.....so many movies they've grossed millions with that starred - and rats!!!!

The Matrix, and soon they'll be implanting tracker bugs in people's bodies. Where will it end? I guess the wool industry could use a boost, anyway. lol

Oh, but I missed the point of your story... Sorry.
I'll bet we're not the only ones working to develop portable mini devices to scope out the enemy's devious plans and aspirations.

There's one theory about potential invaders from... I dunno, maybe
Alpha Centauri -- they'll be small, maybe even microbial. Although I've stopped worrying about virulent things from "out there." If they evolved on a methane planet somewhere and made it through the dark matter and gaps of nothing between there and here, our oxygen rich (?) atmosphere would dash their hopes of luscious nirvana and a varied menu of carbon-based life forms.
