After all...
...a shepherd must watch after the flock, and in that context "Baa-a-a" fits better than "neigh." lol

What a great read...I can picture you there!
And oh how I miss the lambs in the meadows and on the hillsides...I'll have to dig out my photos from Scotland.  Hope you got the mud off!

suggests the baa-ing might be more efficatious... efficaceous...  ???  effective.

(A minister acqaintance of mine was once reprimanded for beginning his sermon with, "So--how the flock are you?")
