Justi, if I insulted someone by my words or deeds, I would need to apologize for it and make it right. If people are insulted because of the truth of God's Word, then they have to take it up with God. He's the author and I am just a messenger. SoulBuilder, goodness is definitely not a mask! God did not intend for it to be. You are right about goodness=righteousness and yes there are good people all around us. However, it still takes the new birth to be in right standing with God. Thanks!

There are good people scattered among the various religions, some even have no religion. To retain one's goodness in this time is heroism.....everyone else has fallen. The intricacies of the word GOOD doesn't bother me. Righteousness=Goodness. God cannot fault that, despite what those of Constantine's Presbyters wrote! I should add that Goodness is not a mask, though the latter is most common!

I like how you approach Christ and Christianity. God loves us all b/c we are all sinners; HE gets joy whenever we turn to HIM sincerely, and only he knows whether a human who becomes Christian for one day, hour, minute is more deserving than other church-attending Christians we consider "good." The Bible challenges our human thinking like nothing else. Jesus died on the cross like a common criminal, and 2000 years later ead sbow, and billions of knees bend to Him. Amen

Amen and Amen. This is a great post. It is truth, not any church's doctrine. The truth of the Holy Bible is the only truth. If you are not born again you are not a Christian. Some will take that as an insult. I would rather insult some sweet person than see them miss the boat. May God bless you. This is awesome.
