TAPS, there are some good things about solo travel... or finding a way to
feel apart for a while here and there, whoever goes with you. I've always tried to detach from time, as well, in a place like this, to imagine being there in other seasons, other eras.

Ciel, your pictures of this place as so wonderful to me because, whenever I was there it seems that I was focusing on someone who was there with me, the place being just an interesting background. I love these pictures of yours that focus totally on something about the place.

Just as you were reading and commenting here,
I was over reading your latest two entries. It is fascinating, your Australian journal--and I hope that sharing it here, and seeing the times and tribulations again through older wiser eyes does what you hope--allows a re-assessment and perhaps an easier coming-to-terms with all of it.

I like that idea too Ciel... it's like sitting on a quiet hilltop and imagining the ancient Britons looking at the same view.
