That's hilarious!
I always thought that instead of a motorized wheel chari or lark scooter, I'd lkeone of those miniature steamrollers. I think it would command a little more respect in the grocery store...

Re: Wheelchair rides for everyone!

I suspect that Marilyn has test driven her new chair, but would never admit to having done so.

So far, Hitler has been content to sit patiently on the chair, sniffing it and imagining herself cruising around on it, with the wind blowing through her multi-colored hair. However NOBODY can really know what goes through a psychotic calico cat's mind, so I wake repeatedly during each night to make sure that Marilyn has not been murdered in her sleep, by a suddenly impatient feline! I have joked about Hitler's tendency to nuzzle me on my face while I sleep, but when she does this to Marilyn, she is trying to suck Marilyn's breath out! Marilyn has an atrophyed sense of humor though, and sees no sense OR humor in this teasing. SIGH!

Re: Us bored?!! Hasn't happened, so far!

     Ravenmarie,

I suspect that I was cursed by an old Chinese woman, when very young. I hear that if an Asian crone become jealous of a mother with an obviously perfect child, they are apt to curse the child with that most feared of old Chinese woman's curses, "May this child live in INTERESTING times!"  I am SO SCREWED!

Re: We are familiar with the "use it or lose it" mantra

     Zenster!

How nice to hear from you. One thing though, be careful when bandying around phrases like "body parts becoming shriveled" when a man is present! Saying something like that could give a guy a stroke! At best, it will give every man within earshot, cold sweats and bad dreams. SHUDDER!

Guy, I'm w/ Marilyn. Hide that wheelchair...........and forget you have it. Marilyn is smart in that, somewhere inside of her, she knows that onces she's in that chair.....it will be downhill for her (figuratively speaking). I've personally seen people start using a cane, walker or wheelchair........they quickly become dependent on it and other parts of the body begin to "shrivel". Can't give in the "the beast" that is MS. EXTREMELY import to keep moving as long as possible. ZM

LOL, Guy
When I worked at a nursing home, part of our jobs, after putting residents to bed, was riding their "scooters"  / electric wheel chairs to the lobby and recharging them. Some of them go pretty fast. We'd have races. It was fun. Marilyn doesn't know what she's missing.
