I remember in 1964 reading a book titled "The Death of The GOP", in high school.......it went on to say basically the same things you mention, based on the drubbing we took with the Goldwater candidacy. You have to be willing to lose some t gain in the long run.
There is a very strong polling company, it slips my mind right now, whose data consistently shows a huge number of the American populace is conservative, when answering their base questions......we lost this election because of two things....we didn't have a "Real Republican" candidate which de-motivated" the base, and we were overwhelmed by an out of control money machine that in the end will have raised 3/4 of a billion dollars.......
We already are putting together a team to build the internet system for ourselves, we will remove the RINO's in control of the party structure and bring a greater sense of purity to the organization.......

The Republican Party may need a thorough cleansing, but what will remain? The two main factions of the party have recognized their fundamental incompatibility, and are battling to see who will take control. But either way, they lose numbers, and numbers win elections. I expect the religious faction to win out because they care the most, but they have the least of value to offer society, so they will dwindle into insignificance. Unless, of course, Obama really screws up.

If by this you mean that I'm right, and the United States is hardly dead, thanks. I don't believe either that the United States is dead, or that its demise is imminent. How our civilization may finally end, I have no idea. Maybe a giant asteroid.

GOP dead....as you would say, hardly....we just need to go through a cleansing......just as we did after the 1976 loss....to be born again as the vessel of conservative ideology......a great Rino Hunt if you will is in order......our first step will be to eliminate my long time friend, Mike Duncan from the leadership of the party.......I have always told Mike he lacked the core values necessary for a good asskicking.....as with most things, it's one step at a time.......
