There is poverty because we care more for ourselves and have little time for the downtrodden and the needy. Hopefully, this will change with time.

It is not the fault of the United Nations

Try corrupt human beings and their greed for money, power, control of others, sex and excess. That is what is wrong with the world. The United Nations came about through some humans trying to right wrongs.

Look at Aza for example, $5.9 billion dollars was committed to the development of that small area and payment was stopped in about 1997 when it was realised that Arafat and his mad clowns could not properly account for over 2 billion $US. It was assumed that much of the money had gone to

1. Bribes

2. His own and his wife's and friends' bank accounts

3. Arms to create more conflict for Israel

Think of the good that could have been done with that money for the people of Aza.....naw don't blame the United Nations. They are now tied down by politics and other things and are effectively a toothless tiger.

The United Nations is constrained by the funding and the politics of its members. It is amazing they are able to do what they now do.
