I had my first taste of grits after starting to date my Southern boy! Reminds me of the joke;
Waiter; "Hominy grits?"
Customer; "I don't know, about 50 or 60?"

Ciel and TAPS
When things get puffed up and are poisonous they remind me of

It is corn soaked in lye water until it puffs up and then it goes through quite a rinsing process to get rid of the lye which is poisonous and caustic.

I guess it's high in calories, therefore not for me. Sorry to hear about your cold, get better soon. And thanks for pointing out the pitfalls with today.com. I don't pay much attention to the writer's rights in this case, because it's just a filler for me which generates some cash. But you definitely have a point.

Re: If I'm not mistaken...
I am pretty sure that farina is a kind of wheat. There are a bunch of different kinds. (And what isn't tasty with a bunch of butter, and a reasonable amount of salt...? Some foods exist in their blandness to convey other tastier elements to our mouths.)

If I'm not mistaken...
...it's grits, which I like with a lot of salt and butter.
I also like cream of wheat, but, can you explain why it says "enriched farina" on the box? What the hell is farina? lol

Lol, I often wondered too. I can't buy it here in England... maybe that's a good thing?
