Thank you Troosha.  Jung held similar views, while also adhering to his belief in God.  A lot of my early-morning clarity comes by asking for it, before I go to sleep.  I don't question it, it just is, and I'm very glad of it.  Trust is  harder to come by but I will get there.

Hi Naut, working hard on faith has been my saving grace.  You might find you have more of it than you realise... and thank you for the interest, I'll be in touch :)

My belief is that God runs through us – that we are all children of God but “He” is not an external force but rather a force that is within us at all times.  So to take that a step further, I don’t wait for a message or sign or answer to come to me.  Instead I look within.  For me, that’s where the answers lie.

Studying wisdom is a good place to start.      Asking God for wisdom is ok too.  It's one of the things He seems to love giving.   I love the post.

I don't know much about what is usually called 'faith', since I don't have much of that, but I'd be really interested in your doctoral thesis...Why don't you drop me a line or two about that?

There are so many paths up the mountain

so many roots and rocks to catch at your feet, especially when fog and darkness close in...  But the mountain is God, and so are the paths, and the stumbling blocks that are there to be learned from, learning how to walk, how to climb.    So I believe.

I hear there is a marvelous playground at the top!

That "trust" thing is a big stumble for this pilgrim, too.

I love Proverbs -- so many powerful truths and sensible instruction. It is difficult to understand where we are suppose to be and what we are suppose to be doing, but I always ask a prayer for guidance in all my decisions. Some of them, I am sure, are a lot of "me" but I have found that, no matter what, "all things work for good, to those who love the Lord."  Bless you. Peace, blessings and (above all) understanding.~SS
