Troosha, anything can be soup--
After looking over that cookbook, you will probably be filled with ideas of how to make a great soup out of anything!

Re: Mmm. Turkey soup!

Sometimes I make a turkey or chicken stew--lots of big chunks of carrots and celery and onion and sweet-taters... all the usual seasonings, then thickened a bit with corn-starch... then I make dumplings with poultry seasoning mixed into the dough.  No complaints about that!

Oh, and I like to throw some cranberries into the soup or stew.  I have a bag of them in the freezer.

Beyond the standard chicken or turkey soup I’m not terribly adventurous (in terms of cooking it).  But I love soup and even purchased a soup cook-book recently to provide me all kinds of ideas.  Nothin’ like a hot bowl of soup and some warm, multi-grain bread!  So I guess, yes, I'm a soup nerd.

Home made soup is fantastic and  the mainstay of church meals! But my family groan (and worse) if I even dare mention the words, 'Turkey Soup' after Christmas...
