Excellent Example
Being consistent is certainly key along with being able to rectify the situation when sin appears.

Do you know the alternative version of the story? The hare keeps running, but no matter how fast he runs, the tortoise is always at the finishing line first. Finally the hare can't stand it any longer and asks the tortoise how on earth he can beat the hare when he never passes the hare en route. The tortoise says, "Because we tortoises all look the same to you!"

Especially since
the race called life can wind up shorter than we ever imagined.....

People cut in and rush in front of you. These are the same people who run the financial sector and the auto industry. In example where are the Wells Fargo ATM machines?

Excellent analogy for it is a marathon and not a dash! Some would like it to be a dash but one must establish a relationship and nurture it and that requires time! Great post! sam

We each have a path to travel and
we all finish the race victoriously even if you want to explore all the nooks and crannies. It may be here that you learn the life lessons you needed to learn.

You have a right to do as you wish. We will all one day be judged by God, not by man. I have tried all the rest; living for Jesus is the best.

But I have another take on this Texas Gem. I was just wondering whether I
want to win the race at all. Why not enjoy Life in all its fulness, exploring nooks and crannies and side-alleys on the way?

TexasGem, yes, it's a marathon race we're running here and not a sprint..
Slow but steady is what counts...and we have our Coach running right alongside us!.....
