You really hit the essence of prayer. Often time it's ritualized but it's really a conversation with God.

AMEN THERE IS SO MUCH POWER IN PRAYER, JESUS GAVE US A GREAT EXAMPLE WHEN HE WAS TEMPTED OF SATAN, THE FIRST WORDS OUT OF HIS MOUTH WERE " IT IS WRITTEN" OH IF WE KNOW WHAT IS WRITTEN AND BELIEVE WITH ALL OUR HEART THAT IT IS TRUE AND DOUBT NOT, WE WIN, GREATER IS HE WHO IS IN US THAN HE THAT IS IN THE WORLD, THANKS, KENT

OK....I just read your post here....great job with this topic.
About a month ago, I read a piece called "The Second Bridge". In a nutshell, it's we who are far from God, not God who is far from us, and that we have bridges to cross, and our own inability to let go of those things which block us from union with God need to be dropped in order to cross these bridges. It was a very effective analogy.

Hi Texas....
I just wanted to tell you thank you for your comments---I have a nasty habit of hitting the tab key whenever I'm in the Blogit writer, and sometimes it causes me to post before I'm done with a work.

I just finished it, so if you would like to drop in again and read my post, please do. It's done now.

Prayer is indeed the most powerful thing in the world, and the best gift we can give to each other. It does work miracles.
