Greenfields, footing the bill, a gracious and wonderful gift.
It feels ten times better than handing a new iPod to a child who has much already, I know.
I hope that your friend's sister is a little better now. Scary problem. May everyone's new year be an improvement upon the last year.

I can just imagine Mr and Mrs Mall waiting for you! My gift this year was to one of our staff whose sister in law was in a hospital with sudden partial paralysis. I footed the bill. And, I feel good. I bought six Xmas cakes from a friend and will spread the cheer with these. My friend Stina and I met for hot chocolate yesterday and I gave her two towels, a candle and a soap.
