One of his biggest challenges will be making more people happy
than unhappy.  As with any leader.  At this point, we can be pretty sure he is making a lot of people who were very unhappy, cautiously or incautiously happy, and those who were happy--not so much right now!

gap
On the face of it, Emanuel seems a good choice. But 'Bibi' Netanyahu was wary of him back in '98, which tells me something...

I pray for him everyday! I think he wants to make a true difference! It is time for a significant change and since the world appears to be happy with our selection maybe things will be different for all. Financially I do terrible when Democrats are in office but I am still up for the change, it wasn't like I sought to be rich, just comfortable! I like the fact that Israel has a sense of peace. I am doing a lot of work in the Old Testament of the Holy Bible and any time Israel is involved in something I am never surprised because it is the work of the Lord for me and that is most important to me. I know people get all hung up about being chosen but if they would just read and understand it is not a big deal but a big gift to the world. You cite examples repeatedly, it is not going to change, for that I am relieved. The Lord had many associations with other peoples throughout the Holy Bible as he does today. I am personally thankful for Israel! Have a wonderful day Mal. Sammy

I have this "feeling"........a gut feeling that Obama will be a positive force in this country and around the world. Of course, he'll stumble but.......BIG picture..........I'm throwing down a prediction that he will end up being one of the top five Presidents to date. And, I just LOVE Michelle. I think she's the real deal.

Cautious Optimism
I think that's a common feeling at the moment.

Whilst I understand your initial caution
I really believe that fresh blood (and younger blood) could make a vast difference to your nation; the initial hesitancy is quite normal when the comfort zone is threatened; either way I wish the whole nation the best but feel confident this was the right decision; many blessings and thanks and enjoy your weekend my friend
