Uistlady, really?
Yes, the garden in the house I lived in was delightful -a combination of planted and wild.

Still life brings the illusion of a temporary pause
against an ever-changing and passing beauty and allows us to momentarily relish in such perceived permanency.

pretty flowers, they must be so cheering in Kabul. We have a shrub with flowers like that here, called lavatera. It's a favourite of mine.

Azur, considering that Kabul has been in war for about 30 years
it is no more dangerous.  That's all the media can report on.  But, it is true that a lot more people I know - in the international community and Afghans - feel for their and others personal safety and openly get death threats.  However, there are efforts to get the warring factions talking.

I like still life. I paint them sometimes
I have heard a lot out of Kabul lately. Do you think that it is more dangerous there now? Or just that we are hearing more about it?
