Re: Most excellent that the sporting pride was saved.
Now there's a bridge linking Skye with the mainland, but I too remember the Skye ferry days. it made it seem so far away! That rail trip to Mallaig is still beautiful...I'd love to do it by steam train!

Well, a puncture!
Could have been a disaster: you can't play soccer (or football as you insist on calling it over yonder) with a flat ball!

The beauty certainly does burn your eyeballs!
I daydream of it often...it's like nothing else I've ever seen! I'm loving your posts...keep 'em comin! We took a short ferry to the Isle of Mull last year. Beautiful!

The last ferry that I took was to Galveston Island before Hurricane Ike wreaked havoc. I don't know when I might ever go there again.

Most excellent that the sporting pride was saved.
Worth five minutes of delay. Oh you made me recall catching the ferry to North Uist and back to Skye but but we also had to catch the ferry to and from Skye too. And now I think of the steam train from Mallaig. I am very much enjoying your Hebridean posts
