Re: Ever since I read Martin Buber
Yes, Aardige - it is Martin Buber who also said, "Judaism does not divide life into the holy and profane, but into the holy and not yet holy." Hassidism is also known as "ultra-orthodox." There are many sects within Hassidism (the most well known lately is Chabad), but all share a certain mystical outlook.

Ever since I read Martin Buber
(hopefully I remember the authors name correctly) I have felt that Hasidism is the most sensible Jewish religious outlook I've personally come across (not that I have made an extensive study on the subject, but from the little I have understood it naturally resonates with a lot of my own thinking on God, life, sacredness). Is you reference to "Leover Hassidic Rebbe" from the same Hasidism I'm thinking about or am I completely lost here?

The Sabbath does require surrender! I try to keep the Lord's day holy! But I like thinking in terms of surrender now! Thanks Mal! sammy
