Of course good luck and notapoet rarely travel hand in hand. It snapped cold again yesterday, and the power went out for several hours after dark while the temperature was plummeting. At least it helps keep me on my toes, literally. Stomping around in the dark helped offset some of the chill. Not the chill from the news that Dombrowski is thinking of trading Ordonez, though. I think the best hope for the Tigers is to get rid of Dumbo trader and double talker Leyland. At least Trammell was able to fire up a team that wasn't as good as an average Triple A squad and get them on the upward swing. I was extremely disappointed Detroit let him go after slipping just one game. I can't help but feel a Trammell managed team wouldn't have folded up in the series like they did. Nor, with the available talent, do I think the Tigers would have slipped back into last place just two seasons after a World Series appearance. And Leyland had the nerve to state he was disappointed he didn't get another contract extension after last season's disaster. Hopefully the Tigers, and the Lions, have bottomed out and it will be all uphill from here.

It was good to hear from you. I'm trying to take care of the cold in spite of another cold snap and a power outage of a few hours last night. A healthy notapoet can write and read much more effectively.
