ZenMom, Iknwo what you mean about being 'on the edge'
I too was like that for th elongest time. Over thel ast decade, I am learnign to live more calmly, adding things, situations and people that give me more calm.  Retreats are one of them.  We acan't be on retreat forever, but oncein a while, I feel its good to reconnect to the things that lead us in that path.

ammon, what a nice thing to say
I am in a constant state of trying to understand what my body is saying to me. I try to be mindful.  I know there is room for growth.

I love the idea of walking in the moonlight meditation. I have been seriously meditating for the past few years. I also began learning T'ai Chi at the beginning of this year. The breathing aspect (remembering to breathe from the abdomen) has made a tremendous difference in my health. We here in the West really need a good dose of this philosophy........we seem to be forever "on the edge".  Once again, I enjoyed your post.

I would love to attend something like this.

Your comments on the calm exterior of Thich Nhat Hanh interested me. Because one of the reasons I like your blog so much is your calm manner. You strike me as being very composed.

I am sorry to hear that you are having some breathing difficulites. Peace and healing , ~OTA

I see that kind of peaceful self-acceptance on the face of the Dalia Lama,
just looking at the cover of his book gives me a sense of refreshment. The deep breathing and calm waiting, even if you don't get into a meditative state, is so helpful.  I hope you feel better and enjoy the next adventure even more. :)pat

You already seem very mindful to me.
I’m glad that you enjoyed the session.  I hope that your allergies and breathing improve.  Blessings.

Must have been a great experience; I too was keen to attend, but am out of town. These programs are so enriching.
