- Go to Aloe's Day Out
Soul Builder101
As I said we never took Aloe too. But, last week I felt bad as we are out a lot and I feel he misses us. He get so crazy when we are back - racing around the house, jumping, barking and often (in his excitment) scratching us. I though it may be a good dea for him to see where we go when we are without him, or out of his sight!

We used to take Chipper, our golden retriever on camp outs to the lake and woods, but I don't remember ever taking her to parties at anyone else's house.

Spunky the Party Girl

Spunky is my Boston Terrier granddog and she loves to visit. She lived with us and the cats and they grew up together so she thinks she's a cat. The cats love to have her come and visit now. They will all gather round on my bed and gently play until they fall asleep. Today she came by dressed in her Halloween costume. It was like the one she wore last year only I couldn't believe how tiny she was last year. We have to be careful keep the gates up or she will run through the field to Grandma's and sometimes across the road. She gets so excited that she pee's as she runs around the circles so we have to met her on the deck. She has a bag of toys here and she loves to play with Poppe(richard) and the cats with the toys. She loves to give kisses. She loves all the nurses and aides that come to visit and kisses them also. She's a licker.

sam444, thank you
It's because we believe that names need to evoke and I hope Aloe does that!

benzinha, thank you for this
Aloe has brought such a wonderful element into our lives, and i hope this comes into the tale. And, after all, its only a 'throw up' right????? I htink you would have enjoyed seeing what he saw..I forgot to mention that on the way back from lunch we stopped to buy fruits and vegetables and he barked like mad - with the window open a peek.

Re: If they have all of their shots up to date and are not ill, I take mine to
And, typical me, I forgot to tell you how endearing a tale you told. What a sweet dog and what fun he appears to have when travelling out and about, except the tossing up his cookies in the car part....
He must have LOVED that visit. I put myself inside his little nose fronted head and walked around with him, the joyous new odors, so important on an outing!! He is learning that the price is cookie tossing, but the outing's end, so worth it.

If they have all of their shots up to date and are not ill, I take mine to
the dog park here in town, the one near my house. It is very large, with a high fence and double gates to prevent escapes, with tables and chairs for owners to sit and chat and smoke or whatever...
and they can run in packs with other dogs, meet strangers and learn to socialize and they get SOOOOOOOO tired running around that I have a quiet house for two days afterwards...
There is the small puppies' and small dogs' side and then there is the older and larger dog side, fenced and entered separately.
If their shots aren't uptodate, it's a great place to catch really fatal things here in Tucson.
There are pooper scoopers for everyone to use and many don't, so I spend my entire time walking the perimeter scooping poop, circling with my dogs either watching me or keeping near me. People bring boxes of free tennnis balls and larger balls for the dogs and owners to play with and it's really quite nice.
Idiots appear sometimes with dangerous dogs and that can be frightening, but usually we chase them out before they loose the chain on their huge dog who appears to want to fight or kill. There are many well behaved pit bulls, Dobermans and Rottweillers and German Shepherds, but they have good owners who trained them to love everyone.
I usually go when few people are there and not during doggie rush hours.

I have 6 dogs. I take them all sometimes, but usually I take one or two at a time. The all have different places they enjoy. I have a sheltie that always threw up in the car. I got him a dog create and that seemed to help. Now he gets a little green in the face but he gets on the floor and he knows that he is going somewhere fun so he rides it out. The smile on his face is worth any trouble. My border collie goes the most. She is really easy and her favorite place is with me. Anyway maybe if you start taking him for little short rides like 5 minutes and build up, he wont get quiet so excited and want get so sick. Sometimes this helps, but it takes time.

My only pets these days are seventeen goldfish in the pond.
I don't think they'd enjoy traveling in the car.

Greenfields, Aloe sounds adorable
Yes, our dogs, Rosie and Reeses travel with us often. I sometimes take them with me to pick up the kids at school. They hang their heads out the window that is slightly ajar and whimper to play with all of the children they see. Our pets are members of the family. ~OTA
