at least you earn your bread.

You like ironing? The next time you're in Canada, please drop in! I have a non-wrinkle-free shirt that I haven't worn in years (I wore it once, after I had bought it by accident), 'cause in this house nobody irons...

I love bartering! Somehow vogue I could never picture you as a freeloader. You do make your bread in an unusual manner. lol sam

What a fun neighborly exchange. Lovely. I meditate at the iron, too.

I use to do all those domestics things when I was raising my family, but nix the iron board, I just pop it into the dryer and zap its ironed

I believe this is what really constitutes community living my friend!
I'm not so sure about the ironing bit though it's not one of my faves, now a bit of gardening I would be happy to oblige with Many blessings and thanks

What a great swap - bread for ironing.  I'm not sure that I'd offer up the ironing because it's not something I enjoy doing but I'd certainly come up with something if someone was willing to cook me fresh bread!

I enjoyed reading the post, because I'm like you where domestic chores are concerned! and I'm worse: don't even like ironing!! The bread with your suggested ingredients must be delicious!

Wonderful post, vogue.  I had to stop baking my own bread.  It was too good.  After my family grew up and flew the coop, and company slowed down as a lot of my favorites grew old and passed on, I had to stop making bread because I love it too much.  Home-made bread spread with butter is better than any dessert that I can think of.
