Justi, why is it that just when I have gotten all comfortable in my recliner with my feet up, the phone rings--and it's halfway across the room?  Why is it that just as I get all cuddled snug in the bed that I remember something that I didn't do that must be done.  I didn't used to mind stuff like that, but now I do and I groan (or worse).

Kabu
Hopefully we will have at least another month before we need any heat and then not much until first of the year.

Corbin Dallas.
My grandmother had walnuts too. They are so hard to pick out of the shell but so good.

Justi......
For us it's walnuts on the ground.......

normally, if I was able,  I'd take a couple of 5 gallon plastic pickle buckets, making several trips, and dump them in the driveway.  After a week or so of driving in and out on them, the tough green husks are ripped off the hard inner shells, and you gather them up in the same buckets and store them in the shed, until the holiday season arrives.....

Thanks for prompting those memories.........

Hi B.
Thanks dear one for reading this. Oh I don't think you are nearing any fall of life but I do think we are in the time of wheat and tares tangles. I hope you got some rest today and have a good week. I love you, Be blessed dear one.

Wow, I love this, J!
What a fantastic analogy!  You have a way with words.  I love you.  I hadn't thought about being in the fall of life, though I did bemoan turning 40 last month.  It's true, though!  I'm not sure about wanting to see the tares come up with the wheat though; I'm sure there will be plenty, since I tend to get overwhelmed and not pay enough attention to the things that really matter.
