Ciel, you are so right
A great deal of architecture of that time has been inspired by European architecture.

vogue, Mumbai has changed and not chnaged
you know how that is.  I too had a very charming boyfreind in Mumbai when I was in college in Calcutta (now called Kolkotta).  However, I know I should not have stuck with him.  I knew it back then.  I did see him in my last visit to Mumbai.  He fianlly did marry and has a young 12 year old.  We have been in touch all along.  Much as I like him, I always thank m good judgement for not making it marriage!  Tell about yours.....

Pat B, it was such a short trip
but I love old buildings, so it is not surprising that my eye and camera moves towards them. Cheers.

The Gateway looks familiar...

The towers on the corners are very like the ones at the Tower of London.

Just catching up with you. Your pics brought on a trip down memory lane. When I was in my mid 20s I had a boyfriend who was from Mumbai and I went to visit his family. How it must have changed since then. They were very wealthy people, so I have been to these grand old houses. With hindsight: should have stayed with the boyfriend too.
