That sounds like a very interesting and worthwhile day.
And the subject - nuclear power - is certainly worthy of debate. I'd like to have heard the youngsters tackle the question. :)pat

Ah, debating. Love it. One of my husbands was a national level debater.

This was in college and so, it was difficult to win an argument with him as he broke it down professionally and never gave up. Sigh.....

But, I love the formal exchange and the staging and the spontaneity of debating, real debating and not these new wishy washy political namby pamby exchanges that are televised nationally between candidates, definitly NOT debating.

He, my ex, used to be invited to our university here in town to judge and loved it. His major at Northwestern in Chcago was Communication, as you suggested. Great!!

How Nice
I've never had the attention span to debate or listen to a debate.  I have always admired those who could.  I guess my disassociation always keeps me behind a few seconds. I guess everyone has their own special talents.  Nice Job!
