I remember that old song. I remember asking that question.
Truth is, love and infatuation are a form of madness. An obsessive coccoon forms around the one in love (or the abandoned lover) and nothing, absolutely nothing gets through. It's kinda like what happens to a hypochondriac who imagines she has a fatal condition the doctors just can't find. Doesn't matter what the facts are, what's really going on -- all focus is on the condition. It passes in time, like a fever that's run its course. Meanwhile, artists and writers come up with some fascinating material. I wish you peace. :)pat
