Nice to hear the voice of reason, and that at least one good soul's brains are where they should be:) I'm not so sure the research is necessarily accurate but makes you wonder. In my experience, my O.H. enjoyed the shopping quite enough, without any extra inducements thank you. I can't tell you how many weekends I spent trailing around for such things as stereos, new cars, gadgets, cds (when they were LPs) etc etc.

Really? I always tell my girlfriend to take away my credit card..
...when I go into either the bookstore or a 'gadget' mall - one time she left me alone for 4 hours on a holiday in Tokyo and I came back with a new laptop, video camera and a little gadget that helps tune a guitar..

I believe this last paragraph is the very best advice given to men I have see to date. On the other hand after having read this should a new refrigerator show up at my house I would know the pressure of resistance my husband endured before making such a purchase. Fun and good post.

Hmmm... a refrigerator vs a cocktail waitress??? well I personally would go for the fridge but I know of no silly man that would...loll STD? It would not occur to them until it was too late. I commend you for your good sense my friend :-) Interesting research though... I might put it to use around here
