Whacky, I'm glad you agree to that.....
I'm just having an arguement with my husband about this..he wants a big group for a get together before our son goes back to school...

benzinha, I am so sorry about the tree and your car damage
it's almost like a message form above. Don't despair - something good will definitely come through all this. And, have a great Sunday with your friend.

Azur, thanks
I feel better and OK about not eating Result of the stomach bug is that I have lost 1 kg(2.2 lbs) over the last 36 hours. So no pain, no gain! And, I am liking one-to-one get togethers more and more. Cheers.

Like you and azur, smaller and quieter is better. My family is huge
and so, I feel rich and liberated when speaking one on one with friends.
I was to meet my old junior highschool friend and car insurance agent on Sunday, but lightning hit my most beautiful tree and made it fall on my car.
I spent today cutting away the tree and carrying away the branches, but there is still more to do tomorrow, until the car is unburied and I can see it's damage. Sigh....and then, I felt really yucky the whole time cutting today, but my landlord was trying to help me and we only had just so many hours.
I was on the edge of death, she said with exaggeration, when I went to bed and slept for three hours before I could shower, eat and feel human again.
I do not look forward to tomorrow, but to Sunday when I will spend time alone with my old friend.

Face to face
I always prefer this, and one-to-one I like too.
I liked the sound of the meals you had. Pity you weren't well enough for the second. I think the gifts were good choices.
