mneme, I see the key words in this delimma as "being kind". Being kind is a necessary ingredient in any marriage/relationship. Without it there is no hope. Without kindness, there cannot really be love. "Be ye kind, one to another, tenderhearted and forgiving one another..." It needs to work both ways.
