It sounds as if she meant to say "fraternities" - in which case "paternities," though incorrect, is closer to the sound of what she meant to say. (Since you were already meeting with a sorority, it makes sense that she wouldn't reference others and probably wanted to get the guys involved, no?). I think keeping quiet about her mispronouciation was the kinder thing to do.
