B-CA, no no.
I think its a great film for men too. All the men in the film are portrayed rather well in my opinion. Its about human relationships (between women and between women and men). I think its a film for men audiences too.

As a film student ...
maybe in the future. In any event, I think that you represent a large percentage of the audience. I feel happy for you that you see into the characters deeply beyond the commercial criticisms. Do you agree with the film's own marketing that it aims at a women audience, love

Agree completely. Besides Miranda, the way Carrie cut Big off was also unfortunate, in my book. And, eventually they both realise it, over a period of time. And no, I don't spend that much on shoes and bags either!

Greenfields, I really enjoyed it too
I think a lot of reviewers take themselves too seriously. This New Yorker review did. It's a film, a fiction and the characters have flaws and do silly things, and say things that make us cringe. Just like people do. I could watch it again too. And yes I love all the fashions.

By the way I enjoyed all of your entries from the Netherlands. I was just in a reading mode for a bit.

My daughter and I saw it the day it came out. We absolutely loved it. But, neither of us thought it was realistic for Miranda to cut her husband off (sexually) and then leave him when he strayed. She didn't seem to accept any blame for what went wrong in their marriage (like being consumed w/ her career). She admitted that it had been SIX months since they last made love.........what was she thinking? We enjoyed the fashions (always have) but, still could never see spending $400 on ONE pair of shoes or ONE purse.
