my son insists
on typing in lower case. He professes not to understand (or sympathise) with his audience who (in my case) learned to read real literature before the parodies were invented. ee cummings and Don Marquis got away with lowercase because they were trying to prove points that were perfectly acceptable.
My son claims that the reader needs to work at reading and "put himself into it." It is my contention, however, that making it easier for one's readers will only increase one's market share.
