I'm talking about faith that stands against all slings and arrows, that endures and grows while not allowing itself to be shaken by the temptations of others or the persecutions of those who say everyone must believe "Exactly as I believe or you are wrong and damned to hell." I have accepted Jesus -- the One who taught the Golden Rule and reduced all the laws of the prophets and the Ten Commandments into two -- the man who was loving, forgiving, and wise in the face of orthodoxy. I accept the example of One who taught mercy and led by example. No offense, but I'm more than a little bit frightened by people who say accept this man while quoting scripture that He never endorsed. Religious Fundamentalism and Right Wing Politics, which too often appear to be one and the same, scare the hell out of me.
Okay, I've stepped off my soapbox. It's always nice to hear from a new voice, especially when you're still pretty new yourself. I read all your blogs and really liked the one in Health. It's closer to poetry than anything I've been able to write.

Apparently The Bible was written by an Egyptian woman called Peter. Anyway, to cut a long story short, I partially agree with you on one of the things you said. I think. I've pretty much forgotten my original point.
