Hi Dark Moon, thanks for the encouragment - and she is lucky to have you. It takes a lot of effort to be there, sometimes.

...the past is the best predictor of the future...as i write this, i'm waiting for someone to show up at my door who wants to tell me why i should let her come back here so i can continue to do the impossible for her and work miracles in the life she routinely destroys...all at the cost of all of my energy, more than i can possibly give and the destruction of my heart, mind and soul...the past is the best predictor of the future...well, i never did it for any "payback" at all...for some reason God wanted to save her worthless ass....i've given him a piece of my mind more than once...whatever...in other words....i sort of relate....moon

Such sadness in this well written poem. Being naive? I think we have all been there at least once! sam
