We carry a piece of our moms with us. A land without sun makes

many frown, I imagine. It is hard to stay cheerful when saying

good-bye for the last time. My prayers are with you.

I truly sympathise with your sadness my friend........
it's good to let it all out though as I am sure you know; loss is very hard to accept I know - 3 years after losing my mother I am still reminded of her everywhere I go only now I remember her with love and good memories rather than sadness; it's true that time is the greatest healer when it comes to losing someone you love; my prayers are with you at this difficult time; God bless

Depression, eh?
Well depression is about repressed emotins.  So, let them out, feel bad and know that you will soon feel better. Write about what you feel.  Don't supress what you are feeling, share with others and us.  It's important to leave behind in Germany your good and bad memories of your mother. We are here, your blogit friends.

This too shall pass

You knew that Germany would be the tough part of the trip.  You can never forget the love of a parent - they will be with you always.  I lost my Dad when I was 26 (he was 53) and still, 25 years later, think of him all the time, especially when fantasizing about what his relationship would have been with 6 strapping grandsons!  I do believe our parents remain with us in spirit.

Vogue, my heart goes out to you, my friend...I've been there when I lost my
mom, but I didn't have to do it alone...but I know that feeling of total aloneness, and yes, Blogit is a wonderful place to connect and feel you are a part of a family.  Glad you'll be in Turkey soon...You'll have to report to us what it's like there.  Sounds intriguing!  Blessings to you as you deal with finding closure there. You're in my thoughts and prayers

Vogue Cheer up
It is so hard when a parent dies and it does take time but time does not fill the void. Be at peace and take care.
