Though your comments were separated in time by five weeks, and dealt with versions of the Tigers that were 40 years apart, both came down to an expression of faith in our beloved Tigers. Guy, you and I were rewarded for our faith in the Tigers with an improbable comeback win after they had fallen behind the mighty Cardinals three games to one. I was stationed in Germany at the time and listened to every pitch on AFN. I remember everyone calling me crazy for believing Detroit could bounce back and win it all. Sam, your faith in the potential of the current version of our Tigers has been vindicated by the sudden surge that is still going on. I love sharing memories, past and present, of the best damned team in baseball.

Our Tigers
Did you happen to see yesterdays Detroit Free Press. On the front page, the surviving 1968 Tigers team members posed with the current team members. What memories that photo brings up. Those were certainly heady days.

I truly believe the Tigers are turning things around. They will be there in the end. I am having so much fun with the Pistons and Redwings it has lessened the sting of their slow start. Too many great ballplayers for this team not to be successful! sam
