I'm not surprised that you feel better after a hot drink. In India, traditionally, as there wasn't much refrigeration the belief was that cold drinks make you sick. I think this was because of the questionable source of water which was made into ice. Now, some of that has changed as we have refrigeration and more hygiene. But, I still like hot tea in the mornings, when I need a pick-me-up and when the sun is getting ready to go down. The Chinese, as you may know, believe that cold drinks are not that good for you.

YUM...as I am resting with my daughter...because we have soared with some great temps today, due to a heat stall --- THIS all sounds so delightful and now, we will make something creative with our meal tonight. That's interesting about the tea...the hot tea. You know I used to drink that--- a hot beverage in the summer --- I found it cooled me. But, now since I've gotten older, I drink iced drinks near year round.

- Thank you for sharing this wonderful treat through your blog Greenfields. I love to relax while I read yours. ~

Ooooh, they sound delicious
I always love any kind of fruit, ice, juice concoction.
I don't know about hot tea cooling one off, but I do still crave hot tea or hot coffee in the morning even in the summer. Maybe it warms you up internally so the outside heat does not seem as bad?
Who knows?
Thanks for another A1 post. I always look forward to it.

Oh you're so lucky to live in India!
Thank you, thank you for the recipes! Not that we need coolers here at the moment, having baked last weekend, I've now had to put the heating back on, it's FREEZING! Well not quite, but chilly.
Nimbu pani is my favourite, it is repeatedly drunk throughout
A Suitable Boy, one of my favourite books. And the characters in the book are always nibbling interesting cakes and breads and spicey this and that! Ah well, I shall have to wait for the next life...
