Aw TAPS.
As I was writing and posting the blog I thought about this too. However, by then, the last of the loquats were sitting pretty in my stomach. Maybe the next batch I get?

Greenfields, I wish you had cut one in half for us so I could see what the inside looks like. I've never had any. I will watch for them in the special produce section but I don't know if they ever get to the Midwest of USA.

Greenfields, I had them in highschool in Brasil. Yum, yum, yummy.
We can buy them here in the US, imported and probably being grown now in Florida or California by now.
Thanks for reminding me of them. Now, I will go look for some at the market here in Arizona.

Loguats are not that similar to kumquats. They are closer to peaches. They are a hug flavour and are sometimes rather juicy.

Well there we are...
I have just this minute left you a reply to the kind note you put about my vegetables, asking for recipes from India, and you write about loquats. I LOVE loquats. But haven't had them for years. Not something you find here. My ex-husband crewed for Air France, and so we travelled a lot when I was young, to Asia a lot, and he also used to bring back enormous baskets of exotic fruit. We didn't realize quite how lucky we were at the time!
