Jealousy is a dangerous state of being. Some people like to test others by seeing to what limits they will go without a melt down in jealousy. That is terrible just as jealousy is really a hard thing for both the jealous one and the object of that jealousy. It is a root of bitterness and will totally absorb a person. If one cannot trust the one they are with then they should break off the relationship. To be trustworthy does not mean for one not to have friends it means one does not pit one against another. There are two sides to jealousy. I have never had the time for that. I have never had problems with such. I have lots of self confidence, by the same token I have never attempted to make a partner jealous.

jealously is a green eyed monster!
Just like rape is not a sex crimve but a desire for control, jealously is a mental condition caused by insecurities, low self esteem and maybe even a chemical imbalance.

Jealousy is a natural protective action...though with some it certainly can be taken to extremes.
Try to remember that in those cases that someone has likely had some very traumatic experiences to make them that way.
I am with you though, I would not want to be in a relationship or close friendship with someone of such nature.
