Ciel, so well said.
That's why I love my age and don;t want to be 16, 25, 30, 40, 50, 55 anymore.........I like where I am, what I have learned.

shahdlou, it's not awful
its the truth.  And, that is why it's so important to say it.  Arguements with parents and people we love are and are not issues, but we often forget that.  Whatever the trigger is, the old baggage comes back, furiouslya nd ferociously, refusing to leave, till we tell it to.  That's where awareness comes in, as a start.

Just agree so much with you Greenfields...we cant help but suppress sometimes, most times but ahhh when the power of the storm --- from within releases...the fury, the cacophony , this power drains from us the threat of something more ominous, something that would just bring tinges of fear always...I appreciate this blog, I understand and I empathize and I respect You Greenfields...dearly-  while peace settles here from a downpour with all the elements reacting in chorus I head on out but, wanted to stop in and enjoy. Peace and Love to you, Elyse

It takes a lifetime of living to begin to catch up with our parents...
to understand what it's like to live in the world as an adult, as a parent perhaps, as someone who has passed through the idealism, angst and cynicism of youth, through the 30s and 40s when we were making our marks in the world, and reached that stage of 'mellowing' which is really the stage where we begin to understand what a life is.

Taken in the first degree

there is some very strange weather on the planet at the moment. I hope it's not your beautiful pots that were broken? On mothers, with mine at least, I'm not sure there IS an issue, most of the time, that's maybe just the trouble. After an argument, I find myself thinking "well what was that about?". I know that sometimes I'm just feeling badly at her for being old, for facing me with my own mortality. What an awful thing to say...

oh yes
Inner turmoil can be much more stormy than the weather. But you feel cleansed once it is over.
