I believe you are so correct. The most important for me in all this is brotherly love. sam

I like what Jesus said, "My kingdom is not of this world." Therefore all
religions and politics of this earth are ultimately only imitations of what God calls us to.  In the end God sums it this way, "Love God with all your heart and your neighbor as yourself.  This is eternal life based on faith and love, not dogma and judgment.

Religion and its connivance with politics

I see this happening every day.  My very own sister tells us all the time that

if we don't go to her church we are all doomed, because they are the only

church  that's right.  This isn't what scripture itself says.  Scripture says, I

have other children that are not of this fold.  She has allowed her pastor to

brainwash her into believing this and she is always saying she's the only one

saved.  There is definitely something wrong with this kind of thinking.  Only

the Master knows our individual hearts, not man.  We must be careful making

such statements because they place us in the seat of judgement which does

not belong to us.  Scripture also says, judge not that ye be not judged.  Our

concern should be whether we are right with God and stop trying to change

others to be like us when we need to be yet striving to be like Jesus.  We

need to only look in the mirror and see if we are what we need to be.  Very

  good point.  Thanks for sharing.

Afzal
"many of my educated and learned friends adhere to strange beliefs which no rational mind could accept"

Sweetie, this is something that could be said about every belief, by someone.
That "someone has to be right" is what causes the most destruction in this world.
