Glad to see you like this
Why is it that my audience loves it when I write about the anger and rage and hate of humanity? Why must this be the emotion we relate to the most? I find it curious that the work that people love the most is not my work about policy that I think important, or my work to re-work hate out of the culture we live in, something I find even more critical, or even my passions in fields of education, the rights of the disabled, equal protection under the law, ending the flipping war, funding social science, but it seems to me- what my readers adore most is the hatred I seek to rid our society of- this is the most curious observation of all. It leads me to wonder if my works as a serious author will just fade into the places of never never land and I shall be known only for those poems which seem to me misunderstood by my entire reading audience?
I think this may be the case- I think I shall never be understood by my audience and they shall drink from my cup not knowing that I wanted to give them something more than they have taken from this work- but they sip on shallow anger- and never understand the scope of what is left to be worked then re-worked. In this I feel is the gift of my work, that I shall continue to hope my audience shall discover- ©
