Sounds very interesting
I think the writer's comment about not over completly knowing the subject is true. How many times in life do we sursprise even ourselves with our actions?  Even the best fictional characters leave something left to the unknown, familiar to the reader but not entirely predictable.

jmh256, isn't that so?
yet poor Patrcik French is getting trashed - by writers much less than him - for the book.  Sad, eh?

"Anyone who has written imaginatively will know that the process remains mysterious, even to the author, however hard you try to unpick it. The best writing can be examined only in its effect." I love this idea.

elysianfields, thanks
I am so glad you like my bogs.  I enjoy yours too - strictly mutual! I also love reading about relationships - thats what life is about anyway - above and beyond all the pretences we make about what else matters to us, yes?  Cheers.

Intriguing Greenfields...I must look for this book.  I've just recently acquired a book entitled, "Charlie Wilson's War" about a month ago, and have yet found time to open --- thinking my husband may enjoy the read before I get a chance.  That's the book based on a true story of a Texas congressman, (also a 'cia' agent) and his relationship as well with a Houston Socialite --- of a covert operation known in history.  I'm intrigued. They're making a movie of it.  I may see the movie before I get to read the book.  but, I find biographies, auto-biographies...true stories are the best, however, I do wonder at times where the information comes from and how it may get twisted in the telling.  I love your blogs, Greenfield.  Always Interest me. ~ Elyse
