I'm so pleased mneme - you sound contented. As for 'wandering off,' isn't that what daydreaming in a garden - or in front of a keyboard - is all about? Enjoy.

How very pleasant and peaceful. I have never been a good gardener, partly because there's always been too much other stuff to be done, like work, but I think I could enjoy it if I had the time. And if I were you, given that you're (almost) starting from scratch, I would put in a lot of herbs ('cause I like cooking with them), such as thyme, sage, rosemary, chervil, and especially basil...

Aah if I still owned the geraniums would be in, the spring vegetables would be harvested, and the cold frme would be filled with tomatoes, peppers, eggplants, melons, and summer flowers ... from

Even though everthing is over-grown and requiring some love and attention, it must feel good to be back to your garden and I'll bet you'll have it ship shape in no time....
