Majestic visions
Today there is no emphasis on anything good. Dance, humor, sing, enjoy..... Nothing original! Guess they don't like us contemplating the serious issues!

Thanks! I know of the radio stories. I personally listened to many of them..Alice Springs, The Shadow, Peter the Rock etc etc. A lighted torch and a day well lived makes for a good night! Luv ya!

Thanks Whirlwind! I love travel channel! The food portion with Andrew Zimmern and Anthony Bourdain . Yet, it is a cultural ride that is estrangement!

There are indeed some good movies! See them then forget them. I am partial to those on FX and SCI FI channels! Normal talk shows and SOAPS are crap!

Peter is an exceptional actor! Tom Hanks and Robin Williams are nothing compared to him! Yet, it is what is meaningful that we stay with. I so love the performances of GRANNY in the BEVERLY HILLBILLIES! Or, of Jack Kelly in MAVERICK! James Garner was one of the MAVERICKS!

Twilight zone is right on the button! I don't watch tv at all hardly. CNN now and then and that's ONLY because someone else has been turning it on. I have not turned on a television since last November 2007. WOW, even shock myself. It has been a long...........time!

I could not agree more! We have been forced to deal with what is known to us as 'loadshedding'. To explain this, it is a system where the electricity is turned of at certain times, in order for the power companies to save on coal and other recources. They need to save at least 10% soon. But to get back to the TV bussiness. During the times (normally about four hours at a time) when the electricity is turned of, this actually forces one to look at other ways of entertaining the family. There are board games, writing of journals and listening to radio stories(something that has not been done for ages). Do you still remember the radio stories, the old folks used to listen to as younger siblings. Well, it makes us appreciate the simple things in life! Thankyou for your blogg ... I do enjoy it so much!

Happy to
but I like to watch every now and then. We have good BBC news and entertainment, good movies and some American serials like Ally Mcbeal, Grey's Anatomy. We don;t have a TV in the bedroom. Only one in the house, in the den.

I love the video. I watch very few if any each week and
if I get busy or have something better to do I might miss
my program for weeks or months and not even miss it. TV
is just not my priority anymore.

...and such truth. My TV watching has almost disappeared in the last couple of months and I don't even miss it. Thank you, Soul Builder.

I don't agree w/ you often (headcase) but, I'm with you on this. Television is a waste of time - for the most part. However, there is the occasional nugget...i.e. Rock of Love2

Thanx Dave...I think its neat Finch is doing this --- my fave movie of his is Network ---"we're mad as hell, and we're not going to take it anymore" --- and of course, a lot of his movies...(the Nuns Story...) Now, with that in mind, this is the only type of tv entertainment (besides the animal planet or history channel) that I will watch...the old Turner Broadcasting movies...or network. Excellent black and white good old fashioned movies... I will not watch TV for any other reason. This is a good blog and good effort on your part

You know what? I do not own a TV and have no intention of buying one. The news I get from the internet and the papers (on Sunday) and the entertainment is provided here on blogit. Does a happy person need anyhting else?
