Thanks for the comment and the link. I madde a mistake - Elaine Page did not get the supporting actress Oscar. The scripwriter did (or was it the producer/director?). I appreciate your comments and every now and then during the movie I felt that it didn't ring true. However, its an unusual film. And, it is clear that its a slightly differnet take to the tenneage pregnancy cases I know about. Cheers.

Diablo Cody is her name....she won for best screenplay (her first). Here's the clip, fast past Harrison Ford, blah, blah, blah to Ms. Dody's acceptance speech.

G'Morning - My husband and I watched this movie (my daughter had the DVD) and we thought it was just okay. Personally, I did not find the Juno character believable. Either did my husband or daughter. We just don't know of any teenager nearly as mature as Juno was. She certainly liked to think "outside of the box". However, the producer/director of that film won an Academy Award for the movie and she gave a wonderful acceptance speech (which you can probably view on utube) in which she thanked her family for loving her for the person she is (which is a VERY unusual person).
