I guess one could say that I have ADD when it comes to exercise....very difficult to stay focused. The only thing I absolutely LOVE to do and rarely must I PUSH myself.........is walking. It provides physical..........as well as mental stimulation for me. However, we have just had one of the longest (cold/snow...worst of all ICEY) winters in memory....so I didn't walk much. I enrolled in a Tai Chi class.........we'll see how that goes.  Namaste

Yes, I think I need more active exercise also.  I like the idea of running and walking.

I fall off the wagon Nov-Jan and try to pick up the pace

Feb or March.  Yoga okay but I prefer aerobics, walking

or running

TAPS.
I am so happy to read this.  It's comforting that others too fall by the wayside!  Let's hear it for us......

Greenfields, I have trouble being consistant.  For a while I was swimming laps, a mile a day, and then I got a bad ear and sinus infection and the doc made me stop.  I've tried just about everything and am really enthusiastic about it and then somewhere along the way, I fall by the wayside.

I can see you are a mover.  I'd like to think of myself as such and am working towards it.  Thanks for your kind words about my writing.  It too, has a calming effect on me.

thanks for your words of wisdom and encouragement.  yesterday, for the record, I went to the health club and spent 30 minutes on the machines and then had a massage.  A good start, eh?

Yes, I have trouble with disciplined structures of exercise, activity.  I walk fast, I move fast - and I walk a great deal ~ However, I also garden and am a whiz at vacuuming... --- but, seriously, I was interested in Yoga years back.  I enjoyed the movement ~ the grace it added to my walk - and I was interested in Tai Chai but, never really got into a group - would practice in my fields outside my home.  Whirling - now this is something I would love to do, more of.  ~ I enjoy reading your writing.  So peaceful and so entertaining ~ Elyse

i love being active
exercising is therapeutic for me whether it b running or playing basketball so i try to do it as much as i can...i understand nowadays many people have too much work or are enveloped in studies and have little if any spare time and usually when they do all they want is to relax however ive found that exercising is a form of relaxation so for me i do it quite often and yes warmer weather definitely encourages more activity...enjoy your swimming and with any exercise dont worry about how many laps or how long you have done it jus exercise until you feel you are satisfied with the effort...God bless
