I don't know afzal,  you make so much sense, but  maybe the fact that death is inevitable and so mysterious contributes to it's being feared, the unknown part of it, that is what one fears most. If we could know exactly what happens to us after we die, and specially that something does happen, that is not an end but a beginning, then I believe fear would dissapear, but the not knowing  is what scares most. Great poem though :-)

There really is no actual separation, during life or death.
It's a false illusion of separation, due to us being in human form.
