I'm glad you found something you could relate to.  Just wait till you're almost as old as dirt, like notapoet, and you'll find that you can relate to most of these "This day in history" type lists.  It's a great way to get story and article ideas, by the way.

Time-trippin' and memory jogging seems to be what I'm all about these days.  Old memories are the jumping off point for most of what I write.  I think time-tripping is a great creativity starter that can lead to all sorts of interesting things.  Glad you liked it.

I didn't remember any of those events, until you got to the part about the Lord of the Rings. There's something I can relate to
