Soul_Builder is right. Common themes often bring similar thoughts, and words. There is little help for it other than not writing at all -- too terrible to consider. If everything written had to be totally original with no similarity whatsoever to anything ever written by another most of our great literature would never have been written.

Thank you guys I wrote back to her too. I didn't realise that it was from her song, my man has just left for the army and I was feeling upset because my "best friend" turned on me and said he has probably run away from me. I hadn't heard her work before either untill this came up and I absulotly LOVE the song so, I guess it found me for a reason :)

Sorry that someone yelled at ya girl! They aren't identical but it is close! I try to avoid anything that might be from somewhere at all costs for this reason. Because people are rude! O and I wrote another poem for you boo!

Regardless of the issue someone might have, people REALLY need to learn how to give constructive feedback in a much nicer way!!! There are much better ways to mention that the words may have come from somewhere else, etc....... I don't even know the song, but I like what you wrote. Remember, what others think is irrelevant. What matters is what you think of yourself!!!
