Yes, that is very true as several other posts mention.  I think it's the ability to see, feel and visually enjoy its presence that is so special.  I discovered several older journals after I wrote this post and it was such a lovely experience.  I have often tried to discard them (in my various clutter cleaning exercises), but I still keep them, like old photographs.  Maybe we need both?

Thank you for liking the post and saying so.  I agree that for many of us, Blogit has become our journal medium by choice.

I like this post. I don't keep journal outside of blogit. Intended to do so many times.

There is something special about a physical journal .. something specially chosen with nice quality paper and good binding.

I used to keep a journal and then I just strated using Blogit because I feel free enough or maybe 'carefree' is a better word but  consider my blog my journal really. Nice post my friend.

Re: TAPS.
I think there is just something inviting about paper that invites you to fill in the space in a way that a blank screen does not. And I do think it's easy to get attracted to the designs, and just the natural feel of paper.

Yes, that is the intent.  It's also a bit like stating something.  Often I say something and the power of it (once it hits my ears) has quite an impact, on me.

So true and very well put.  It's also a bit like movies - getting transported into a different world - that's what it does to me.

Very interesting post! I do recommend 'emptying' in my blog. I, however, use it in the across the board sense. I suggest To-do lists too!!! The intent is to clear the awareness so it can become more perceptive of itself!

Hi
I think that writing of any type is very therapuetic, even if it's not about whatever trouble you may be dealing with. It can take you out of your circle of problems and into a different world, much like reading does.

TAPS.
Isn't that amazing.  I wonder why that is so?  Habit?  Drawn to the beauty of paper and design? Maybe we are meant to be in both worlds - of the hand written and the keyboard.  Yes?

I thought that I was the only one still attracted to the Journal Section of the Book Stores.  You would not believe how many of them I have that I have filled out the name and date on the "This Journal Belongs To __________" page and have written a first entry and then that's it.  I put it on my book shelf with the rest and go back to Blogit.
